Review on 🍰 Ateco 1385 Icing Spatula Frosting Spreader Tool with Wood Handle, Set of 2 by Jason Valencia

I didn't know the handles could be painted. Only raw wood can do that? After removing the sticker from the metal, I washed them and laid them on a towel to dry. I went with a darker wood and noticed that there was a lot of color in the towel. Wet it again (several times actually) and put it back on a paper towel to dry. The first image is what is left on the paper towel. Then I put both in small containers with water. The second picture after they spent the night. Have used this brand before and never had this problem. I'll try spraying some sealant. I don't know if that helps or not. Otherwise I can leave it in the water until the water runs clear. Disappointed in one of them. Update: Almost a week later, a spatula is still "bleeding" in color, just like the first time I received it. Update: the color bleed got so bad I threw it away. The second time there were no problems.
