Great quality but very stiff

Ateco offsets are the industry standard. I like mine black with a handle, and then I had to use the wooden handle look at work. I love it. In any case, the only downside to the wooden version is that the blade is quite stiff. I've worked it back and forth but it doesn't seem to be softening at all. I like the high gloss finish but I may need to bring a flashlight to make the blade bend a little easier. The black handle flexes just right, but these wooden ones are almost as stiff as my Sabatier.

Perfect little palette knife and tip for removing labels

These spatulas are perfect. Sturdy, well made, makes it easy to ice small things and into corners. Thank you for the wooden grips - they are warmer, feel better than plastic grips and degrade over time (can't imagine when they will become obsolete!). Never let/soak wood in water or put it in the dishwasher - it can warp, splinter, discolour: that's its nature. With a little respect, it will last for many generations. One reviewer suggested rinsing the top edge of the knife with hot water while…

Great Spreading Spatulas

I ordered these because the two I already have in my kitchen drawer are always either in use or in the dishwasher so we needed a few more. I use them sometimes for icing, but daily for butter, peanut butter, jelly. Also for leveling measured dry recipe ingredients and removing baked goods from bakeware. These two are well made with nice wooden handles. The labels on the end of each spatula are attached with incredibly strong adhesive, but I was able to peel them off in one piece by starting…

Are these pens stained?

I didn't know the handles could be painted. Only raw wood can do that? After removing the sticker from the metal, I washed them and laid them on a towel to dry. I went with a darker wood and noticed that there was a lot of color in the towel. Wet it again (several times actually) and put it back on a paper towel to dry. The first image is what is left on the paper towel. Then I put both in small containers with water. The second picture after they spent the night. Have used this brand before…
