It worked at first. Unlike another puller that I tried to bend so hard I had to throw it away, this puller did the job. with some help. Wing nuts not only help, but also hinder. To use this without tools, you'll need something like wing nuts to tighten the levers. The problem is that they are not properly in sync. So if the levers have to be very close to center, the wing nuts cannot be tightened. I will eventually need to replace the wing nuts. I needed a puller because on one of our cars the rear wiper arm broke leaving the inner metal bushing on the motor shaft. The wiper arm was made of hard plastic with a metal bushing that slid along the motor shaft. When the wiper arm broke, it left the bushing on the shaft. I couldn't install a new wiper arm without first removing the bushing. This required the arms of this puller to be fully centered. The biggest problem with this tool when it arrived was that I had to hold the levers in place by hand as the wing nuts couldn't be tightened because they were too close to the center. Not the best solution. But it worked. I'm glad I have the tool, but it's far from perfect. Wing nuts must either be tightened or replaced with another tightening method.
