As a longtime user of both the original Arlo and Arlo Pro, I was happy to upgrade to Arlo Pro 3. After all the adjustments, the range of the Arlo Pro 3 is nowhere near as good as the original Arlo or Arlo Pro. My farthest camera is my front door, about 100 feet from the base. The original Arlo and Arlo Pro had no problem with that. Arlo Pro 3 sometimes connected to the front door, most of the time it didn't. So I made a direct comparison of both systems. In all cases, Arlo Pro outperforms Arlo Pro 3 in terms of performance. In addition, the Arlo Pro 3 uses brand new rechargeable batteries that cannot be charged in the Arlo Pro charger. A BIG disadvantage in my opinion if you want to update part of the system little by little. If you have an Arlo Pro system, stick with it! Don't worry about it!
