Great product - immature company

I would give 5 stars based on the following criteria: - Simply the best wireless camera system I have ever used - Easy setup - No issues with multiple and additional cameras - Excellent quality - Smooth use . Easy to set up. Why did I give two stars? The company needs to collaborate on customer service. Your customer service is one of the worst I have ever dealt with. None of the outsourced support centers have technical expertise. I had a simple question, but the conversation ended when it…

Buy Arlo Pro 2, not this

Last year I bought an Arlo Pro 2 system that came with 3 cameras. I liked her very much and have recommended her to my friends. I wanted to add a 4th camera and called Arlo, the Arlo tech recommended adding an Arlo Pro 3 camera and stated that it would work great with my Arlo Pro 2 system. It was very easy to install and worked great, but it has been 3 months since it was installed and Arlo contacted me and said I have to pay $10 a month to get this camera working! 7 days free cloud storage…

Wanted to love so much but couldn't

As a longtime user of both the original Arlo and Arlo Pro, I was happy to upgrade to Arlo Pro 3. After all the adjustments, the range of the Arlo Pro 3 is nowhere near as good as the original Arlo or Arlo Pro. My farthest camera is my front door, about 100 feet from the base. The original Arlo and Arlo Pro had no problem with that. Arlo Pro 3 sometimes connected to the front door, most of the time it didn't. So I made a direct comparison of both systems. In all cases, Arlo Pro outperforms Arlo…

Significant cost compared to previous versions

The biggest difference between the Pro 3 and Pro 2 is the lack of onboard cloud video storage. While the Pro 2 and its predecessors came with 7-day continuous cloud backup, the 3 doesn't include video cloud storage without a $120/year plan. It wouldn't be such a problem, but the local storage available through the base station/smarthub is pretty much useless. To access this local storage it needs to be removed from the base station/smarthub and viewed on a computer etc. There is also no option…

DO NOT BUY THIS CAMERA! Rating updated!

Where do I start. Let's see they were easy to set up. But there are serious lags when using the camera view option during setup, so be prepared and calm down. If you put them where you want them, they tend to turn off when you don't need them. Leaves fly or fly fly, get ready for 30 alarms the day lightning or baby Jesus destroys the flysheet. Nothing. Nothing for 12 hours until I go outside. By the way, I have both a hub and a hard drive. So I go ahead like an idiot and subscribe 3 of my 5…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • weak

First, as a previous reviewer said, the hardware is excellent. The cameras produce sharp, clear images with very good color reproduction. Setup is quick and easy. The app is also easy to use and mostly intuitive. However, most of the advertised features are mediocre at best. Worst of all, there's a significant lag between when an event occurs and when you can actually see it, even if it's connected to the same network as the hub. There is a 10-30 second delay in live view (which can take a…
