Improvement on version

First of all, I have to say that if you have never used a 360-degree camera before, it is unreasonable to expect the photo quality you are used to from current flagship smartphones and cameras, and only getting that close means buying commercial cameras, which can cost upwards of $5,000. A camera for the masses, the new 360 comes in at a very reasonable suggested retail price of around $250. Photo quality is top notch for current generation consumer cameras (insta 360, theta, lg, etc.). The beauty of these cameras is that you can capture a full 360 degree image and revisit the location in the future using a VR headset or look around the device as if you were looking out a window. You can also post these images to social networks like Facebook so your friends can look around just like you. Compared to the old Gear 360, this one is much smaller (you can put it in your pocket!) to hold. The tripod has been removed and a rubber ring is attached to the strap that can be placed on the base for extra stability. The overall megapixel count has been reduced, but images still look good, low-light performance is improved, and there's a sharpness setting you can tweak to compensate for the loss of density if you'd like (but remember that megapixels are not everything). The lenses have been moved closer together to improve stitching, and there's a new HRD landscape setting that can be used with a tripod to capture stunning landscape shots. Now it also charges via USB C and the compatibility has been extended to IOS. This is now my favorite 360 camera and has replaced my old Theta S. It will probably be the best 360 consumer camera of 2017. I will also say that I live in the US and bought this early (international edition) to be there in time for summer. The new 360 app is available on the Play Store and is easy to connect. It's still updated as updates come out, and everything was in English so no problem!
