The Google Street View app does not see this camera yet, probably because the Gear360 ver1 version connects via Bluetooth. The iOS software is faulty. Camera often crashes when trying to transfer video…

VERY easily overheats

I remember watching videos when they first came out; Landscapes, nature, other countries, riding in the canyon. I have it in my car as a car camcorder (yes I know I can clearly see how that was a mistake). It's 32 degrees F outside, I set the AC on a low heat aimed at the ground (the camera sits on a clip just above the vents, so when I turn the heat on, overheats even…

Improvement on version

First of all, I have to say that if you have never used a 360-degree camera before, it is unreasonable to expect the photo quality you are used to from current flagship smartphones and cameras, and only getting that close means buying commercial cameras, which can cost upwards of $5,000. A camera for the masses, the new 360 comes in at a very reasonable suggested retail price of around $250. Photo quality is top notch for current generation consumer cameras (insta 360, theta, lg, etc.). The…

Pros
  • from 2016 With Gear 360 (2017) you can easily capture a 360 degree view of the world in the form of videos or photos. With true 4K video capabilities, your videos and images are crisp, clear and of high quality, so the content you create and the moments you capture are just as vivid years later.
