Review on Enhanced GigaWorks T20 Series II Multimedia Speaker System by Creative Labs with BasXPort Technology by Brian Dildine

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Six years later very happy with these speakers.

These speakers didn't disappoint. I bought this exact model from Amazon in 2012 and thought I'd bought a few new ones by now. Well I still use it. I bought these to use with a monitor connected to my Xbox, PS4, PC. I needed speakers with separate bass and treble controls. These controls help fine-tune the sound depending on the noise limit or type of video game. These controls work really well as they have quite a wide range of settings. You can turn the base down so you don't hear any loud bass at all, or turn the base up these speakers also produce very heavy bass. The same at high frequencies. Those high frequencies get very muffled and soft at the lowest settings and grate in your ears at the highest. I regularly use the bass control to reduce base late at night and the treble control to harden the sound in shooting games like COD and Battlefield. .I haven't had any problems with the cable, the sound or the controls for six years. Everything works great like new. They sound very good overall compared to most speakers in this price range, but the sound hasn't degraded or added new noise in all 6 years of daily use.

Pros
  • Fabric dome tweeters and BasXPort technology eliminate the need for a subwoofer
Cons
  • Infinitely sluggish
