Moved to a new house and the fence posts are wide enough for our 21 lb mixed breed dog to walk through (although he has a broad chest). This thing was a quick fix and it works great. We have two of these so you can always wash one. Things to look out for: 1. You can easily sleep in it and drive around in all that nasty stuff you don't need (buy two for that reason). Our dog is sun lazy and sleeps great in it.2. You have to thread the dog's collar through the rings, which can be painful. We remove it from the dog at night as the collar sometimes shifts so it can be uncomfortable getting the clip close to the ring clasp.3. People will ask what it is. It looks silly but hey the dogs don't care and everyone knows it's their dumb butts running around. Other neighbors with small dogs and fence problems in our area were also interested and bought.
