I bought this monitor hoping it would be a cheap display option for my C64 as it has speakers and a composite RCA input. Unfortunately, there are a number of problems. First, there is a static bar that moves up from the bottom of the screen. It is so bad that the text becomes illegible. Second, the colors are very poor and flow together (that's how it's shown in the picture, although you can also see a bit of static banding). I've also verified that these problems are *not* from the C64. First, the C64's composite output renders perfectly on other TVs and monitors I own. Second, I tried connecting both the C64 via the Retrotink mini x2 upscaler and my modern laptop via HDMI and both problems persisted. Overall, the video quality from this monitor is unacceptable, even when using pure digital HDMI. Third, the included power cord is very short, not reaching from my desk to the power distribution box on the floor directly below. That. This monitor is probably good enough for its intended purpose, but it definitely doesn't work as a small all-around monitor for your retro computers or gaming consoles. Better spend the money on a high-quality 4:3 monitor from the mid-2000s.
