Review on 🔌 Amazon Basics 25ft (7.6m) RJ45 Cat-5e Network Ethernet Cable for Internet Connectivity by Curtis Donjuan

I've bought other RevainBasics cables before and haven't had any problems, but this ethernet cable is so bad it should be retired (and the two 50ft cables I bought 4 months ago are going in the trash, which is better than they even deserve. So what's wrong with them? Two things: 1) The jacket is made of fragile (and flimsy) plastic. This doesn't allow the cord to unravel well and lay flat, but that's not even the worst thing about the jacket, namely: it CRACKS if you even look at it the wrong way (i.e. if you look at it at all) and if it snaps, it spreads Cracks along the entire length of the shell. 2) The connectors are not tight enough on my laptop, leaving enough room to intermittently disconnect. Every other 50-foot ethernet cable I've ever bought had a thick rubber outer jacket and lasted for several years before eventually failing in the usual way these things fail: a little plastic tab that secures the connector to to place fractures.
