Chair is ok fine workmanship poor back pad design

Update: Less than a year later the large metal bracket that holds the wheel base to the chair has a tear down the center on one side so now the chair is tipping in one direction and needs to be replaced. The seat pad is still good, but overall this chair sucks. My opinion on this chair is really mixed. The seat cushion is one of the thickest and most durable I've seen. Although it does start to sag a bit over time, it's still significantly better than most chairs and still has padding after a few months. The basic material of the armrests and wheels is fine. It's not as pretty or durable as metal, but it's also significantly better than many office chairs in the same price range. Unlike my previous chair, I'm not worried about the armrests falling apart at the thinnest points. The back is annoying. just not great. It's like there's no padding in the middle and the cushions around it have to support you somehow. They don't. The adjustable lumbar support is a little high, but that's ok. It doesn't benefit from the lack of padding in the middle, though. I had to add a back cushion to the chair so I didn't feel like I was sitting on plywood. I can't believe I don't see more complaints about this back cushion issue. I actually thought my chair was faulty as I haven't seen any other complaints about it so I replaced it (which while it was as hassle free as possible via Amazon was still an issue for something this big and that needs replacing before the return is sent back). The replacement chair was the same, so I'm just guessing it's a design flaw.
