This is the second unit in a row that I have bought and the unit itself is fine but the 'probe cable' has failed on each of them because the 'probe cable' is not due to the heat of the grill could withstand. From the outside it looks like the cable has a metal jacket, but any wire they use inside melts and then the wire becomes rigid. Used twice and now the second cable is junk. I tried buying a replacement cable myself after the first one broke but it's more expensive than a brand new one. Do not buy this one if you use it for grilling.
