This product has a number of significant deficiencies that make it unsuitable for use as a security solution. The main disadvantage is that a thief can steal the camera, remove the camera from the system by pressing and holding the sync button on the back of the camera for 10 seconds. Eufy has been aware of this bug on all of its cameras for at least 6 months and is not doing anything to fix it on existing devices. I bought this camera hoping that at least on new devices they will fix the problem. Not so. This is a big problem for a supposed security product. There are hundreds of posts in the Eufy community and on Reddit about it, but the company is doing nothing to address the issue. They just pump out new products with the same flaws. Another downside to this model is that the hard mount option has been removed. Previously, a 1/4-20 mounting screw could be used. Now they're just left with a cheap magnetic prop that can be smashed with any stick. Taken together, these two disadvantages effectively eliminate any security you might expect. The thief comes with a stick and knocks over the camera where he presses the sync button for 10 seconds, deletes the camera from the app and all events for the camera are deleted. Not only that, he can walk away with the device and sell it to someone else. Sound like a security product you want to protect?
