I bought a wicker bag on ebay and unfortunately it arrived smelling of perfume along with my cigarette order. The description didn't mention this but I figured I could air out the smells. Almost two weeks after airing the bag out in front of open windows and then a few days outside in the sun, the smells went away a bit, but not by much. I bought Nature Fresh Bamboo Charcoal Cleaning Bags. I leave the bag in the bright sun for two to three hours on EACH side, then put it in my purse and wrap the purse in two plastic bags. I haven't opened the packages for three days. When I took out the bag, there was no smell at all! I will keep a wallet with a cleaning pouch in the wallet! I'm wondering if the people who didn't have results with the product didn't follow the directions and didn't expose the sachets to bright sun for the suggested time. I am VERY happy with the product as my next step was to throw the wallet in the trash! I also like the sturdy hooks that can be used to hang each bag. The hook is a good size but not suitable for a hanger but can be hung on hangers in garment pockets and other places around the home. AND ALSO! The bags contain NO chemicals or other unpleasant smells. As a result, you have no residual odor. I highly recommend this product.
