I have always loved unconventional, unusual and even quirky lights, they are one of the best ways to personalize a home. So what stopped me from becoming a winner? Unfortunately too many things, in fact the negatives far outweigh the positives. Here they are1. The base is larger than it should be and we all know that freeing up space on a desk or bedside table is priceless2. It uses special low-voltage lightbulbs, and there are enough of them to fill any socket. If a lightbulb breaks or burns out, it will be very difficult to find replacements, if available at all (I've seen one for $2 plus 5.50 postage, that's unacceptable)3. Perhaps the biggest downside is that the bulbs aren't dimmable, and at 750 lumens this is a very bright bulb. That alone is enough for me not to recommend it4. Personally, it annoys me when companies, especially low-end brands, put their logo right on the front or top of whatever I'm going to put up in my house. I do not buy products to promote businesses to my friends and family for free. This one is particularly unattractive, sitting squarely on top of the oversized base section. The price of just over twenty euros is not overpriced, but in view of all the shortcomings, any price is too high for me. Not recommended.
