Based on some of the comments I'm not sure what some people were expecting from the Losong 16:9 120 projection screen. My expectations were not very high. I just wanted to use a spare bedroom and a spare projector. Projector and Epson EF-100 is a smaller form factor model but bright enough. Combined with Losong's high gain finish I thought it would work well for a bright room but the black level would suffer. Without further ado, Losong's screen comes in folded in a bag. The shade is just a white fabric, 4 way stretch, with a sewn on nylon border. Edge with metal eyelets. There were no permanent creases in the material. While there are many ways you can attach the screen, I find it best to just use nails and stretch the screen. While it doesn't allow the edge to be a nice rectangle, the surface remains nice and flat. and can benefit from a solid black frame. I tried the hooks first but I had annoying ripples on the screen. In terms of visual performance, it was better than projecting onto a bare wall, but not as good as even the most basic "real" projection screen (Da-Lite, Stewart, Elite, etc.). Again, what do you expect for less than $40? The combination of the EF-100 and Losong allows the projector to handle bright ambient light quite well while still only getting 2000 lumens (or so). It's a bit more difficult at night because the high-gain screen limits black levels, but for a lot of video content that doesn't matter much. If you're looking for the cheapest solution (especially outdoors) this might be the one for you. However, if you're on a more flexible budget and want to get good indoor results, there's more you can do. Conditionally recommended
