After about 2 weeks the light stopped working. I unscrewed the white plastic in the cap to see what the problem was. There is a copper strip that goes from the battery to the contact for the light, when you open the cover it completes the connection and the light comes on. This copper strip is held in place with a small screw. The hole for that screw has completely disintegrated and the lid's white insert is torn all around the edge and I expect it to fall apart at any moment. Also a damper to clear your cigarette blockages after about two cigarettes and needs to be pulled out to clear them. It's attractive but poorly designed. I will replace him. In my opinion it was a waste of money.
