My daughter and I love these wellies. She wore them to school for several weeks while we experienced our version of the rainy season here in South Florida. She has walked through heavy puddles and pouring rain and has never had an accident or leak. These boots are not made for walking, they can be a little bulky and unwieldy to walk on. The only issue we found is that the material scratches fairly easily. My daughter is 9 years old and made baby clothes, wore them to school, she could scratch them on the first day of use. While this isn't a huge problem, it does ruin the look. We chose the color periwinkle which goes well with her school uniform and everyday wear. I highly recommend these boots.
