Review on ๐Ÿ’ป SANOXY Laptop Cooling Fan Pad - USB Powered Laptop Cooler by Gabriel Rosenberg

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Fragile but economical and efficient

For the price these things are wonderful if a bit fragile. The fan is made of acrylic and will break very easily if bent too much and may snap off, but the fans work well and can handle the weight of even heavier laptops. Just don't toss them in your laptop bag and bend them. They're perfect if you want to set them up in one place and "dock" your laptop to them when you use them there, but since they're quite fragile, they're not great for travel. As other reviewers have written, the fans are exposed and therefore need to be mounted on a hard surface. The fans are quite efficient given their size and relatively fast fans for their size and use. I bought one of these and accidentally broke it (it was my fault) so I bought a second one. I recently found the target of cracking it by using it as an extra fan for another laptop that already has a fan underneath. These fans are extremely efficient if your computer has a downward vent, but they are also good for ventilating and passively cooling laptops with side vents like mine. For the price, you should get a few of these and replace them when needed. If you handle them carefully, they will last a long time. I personally find the blue light under the bill so attractive that I prefer it to other fans. The first unit I received had a standard USB male adapter, but the second (which I bought from this particular seller) had a USB "T" which allows you to connect another device to the back of the fan, so the fan doesn't use the port. I love the fan and if my current one breaks I will replace it with another one. A wonderful product that just needs to be treated with care. As a side note, if your fan breaks for any reason, you can remove the 3 fans from the stand with a screwdriver and place them strategically around your computer, under an external hard drive, in a desktop computer case, etc. Since you can reuse them easily, even if they break and their cost is almost the same as undamaged ones, I give the fan a 4.5 out of 5.
