Not recommended. - my new rating

These gloves are probably fine if you don't intend to use them often. We live in Minnesota so they have been used regularly this winter and have completely fallen apart. The strap to tighten them fell out of one glove, and the strap to tighten the wrist fell out of both. They kept my daughter's hands warm and dry but I wouldn't recommend them as they didn't last long.

Pros

The gloves were exactly what I wanted for my great grandson.

Cons

Gloves may not provide enough support for children to hold slippery objects such as sleds and skates.
