Review on 🧼 Silblade FB124 Flex Black Silicone Ultimate Wiper Blade, 24-inch (Single Pack) by Roberto Garrido

Silblade "Flex " blades are terrible!

UPDATE I still love the metal framed Silblade product but the flex blades suck! The end caps are removable to allow the blade to slide out of the mount, and they shed snow and ice no better than an open frame blade. All of the other Silblade wipers I've had for at least a year have worked great, but they were starting to come apart at the seams at this point, literally being held together by zippers for the last few months of use. The Odball mounting system also releases the PITA J hook arm, I suggest you go past this model of wipers! I've used Silblades before and have been impressed with the performance and durability of their product, but haven't been able to find them locally for years (after all, why would an auto parts store sell a set of Silblade wipers every two years that they sell a set normal wipers could sell). wipers every 6 months?!?). The "Flex" style is what I usually wear on my Honda Element from other manufacturers, so I ordered this from Silblade. But as good as the wiper material is, Silblade didn't engineer the flexible part like some other manufacturers have; There are spots on my windshield where Brand X tracked perfectly and Silblades didn't :( (-1 star for this issue) Not a big deal, flex wipers were cut through my Volvo GF blades (which also need 20" blades ) replaced and have flatter windscreen) and I ordered a set of standard Silblade wipers for Honda, now the wipers clean the entire windscreen perfectly!. better than the flex version. As a side note for those who live in cold climates, the stock Silblade wipers are very durable and remove ice better than most open frame designs, although they are definitely made for 3-season wipers and not winter wipers.

Pros
  • Sturdy finish
Cons
  • Damaged
