It has patented formulation, unaffected by UV, sunlight, ozone, oil and grime from road spray and Silbalde can withstand extreme temperatures as low as 80 Fahrenheit and as high as 400 Fahrenheit. Patented PTFE coating gives the silicone wiper its ability to effortlessly glide smoothly across your windshield. Silicon formulation leaves an invisible hydrophobic (water repellent) coating, which forms within 90 days from the first use. Unique curved frame conforms to a sleeker, more curved windshields on today’s vehicles. Easy installation, it has preinstalled adaptor that fits the vast majority of vehicles and comes with additional adaptors to fit late model specific OEM (original equipment manufacturer) arm types.

Not the same quality as before

Let me just say that I've been a strong believer in Sil-blade since they were formed in the early 2000's. As a resident of the northeastern region, I liked that the blade's silicone material does not crack or dry out, and the service life is 1-2 years instead of 6 months. The added benefit of having a hydrophobic coating on the windshield was that you almost never have to turn on the wipers in the rain, no streaks etc. Fast forward a few multi-car sentences and my goodness these things are…

I have to say that Silblade was a disappointment. I started using them in the 90's.

I have to say the Silblade was a disappointment. I started using them in the 90's and loved how long they lasted. I would get less than a year from every other blade I've bought while the Silblades have lasted over 7 years. And then I bought them for our two 2012 Chevy Malibus. After a few years of good work, one of the blades came off my wife's car, then hit the other and they were both gone. I meant no motorway driving in the winter storm! Silblade "Flex " blades are terrible!

UPDATE I still love the metal framed Silblade product but the flex blades suck! The end caps are removable to allow the blade to slide out of the mount, and they shed snow and ice no better than an open frame blade. All of the other Silblade wipers I've had for at least a year have worked great, but they were starting to come apart at the seams at this point, literally being held together by zippers for the last few months of use. Great customer service, high quality wipers, terrible quality wiper arm fittings that ruin everything.

I would give them 1 star but I thought good customer service warranted a 2 star rating as they tried to get it right but the product just didn't meet the requirements. I love Silblade products and have used them on my vehicles for years. These were the first pair I bought for my 2014 Ford Focus. The 28 inch is also probably the longest I've ever bought, which could be part of the problem. The first pair were obvious throwbacks that lacked wiper arm adapters.
