I have to say that Silblade was a disappointment. I started using them in the 90's.

I have to say the Silblade was a disappointment. I started using them in the 90's and loved how long they lasted. I would get less than a year from every other blade I've bought while the Silblades have lasted over 7 years. And then I bought them for our two 2012 Chevy Malibus. After a few years of good work, one of the blades came off my wife's car, then hit the other and they were both gone. I meant no motorway driving in the winter storm! We had to pay shipping but they were replaced with no problem. That same winter, I raised the driver's side wiper to clear ice from the windshield and the blade fell out of the stalk. I must say that the blade fell off the adapter that was still on the arm. Same flaw as my wife's car. In less than 2 years they started falling off the adapter again. Replaced again under warranty, sent at my expense. This time when I put the adapter in my machine, the plastic parts in the blade fell out and the adapter didn't stay on the blade. I gave the other blade to a friend, let him read the instructions and didn't tell him anything. It broke for him too. The force required for this is hardly greater than the force that must be applied to the handle. My adapter's attachment point is not much larger than the ball end of a straight pin and is different from other adapters. Unless you need a square button adapter like in my car, you probably won't have this problem. But for me there are no more Silblades.
