After trying them out I decided it was indeed 4G when I ordered 6. This revelation came after I ordered a full set of tapers and immediately noticed that 4G looks like the diameter of my set. It was harder to tell when I initially set them to min as I understand the jump from 8G to 6G by a full millimeter so maybe it was just my ear. But I literally just put the sixth candle in and it was OIL. no resistance at all. What really worries me is that this pair of earrings was quite painful and after a period of time without any change I had to take them off and downsize them because I felt like a tear was brewing in one ear. BEWARE. If I'm the right size I'll love it
