Do what you want, just don't waste your money on these braces.
Should have followed my first impulse and never installed it. The passenger side is so badly fitted that all the paint on the door hinge has peeled off. Mirrors vibrate so much that they are completely useless. When I was in the driver's seat, I didn't even see the passenger mirror. The best thing about this product is the damage it did to my jeep. I only had to order $200 new hinges because the doors opened too far and these brackets hit. The hinges cracked and my doors no longer closed properly. Literal trash.
