Review on Bearhard Emergency Waterproof Resistant Survival by Scott Ramu

Very durable and definitely recyclable. Worth buying.

I bought this blanket to use as an emergency blanket for my car. It comes folded in a thick transparent plastic zip bag, which can also be reused. I picked it up and unpacked it as soon as it arrived. I wouldn't call it a blanket. In fact, this is a medium-weight insulated tarp. Does it work like a blanket to keep you warm, dry and protected from wind, cold, rain, snow, etc.? Absolutely! It folds very easily and is definitely recyclable. When folded, it takes up about as much space as a small folding umbrella and weighs about the same. It fits very comfortably in the glove compartment or under the seat. I was trying to decide between this and a 100% wool blanket. A wool blanket would be much more comfortable and flexible, but would also weigh more and take up much more space. Plus it costs twice as much and of course they are not waterproof. All in all, this will suit my needs quite well. I can always buy a thin fleece blanket for about $5 for extra warmth and comfort.

Pros
  • REVOLUTIONARY DURALIX 3.0 MATERIAL. Reflective aluminum lamination + non-woven fabric + ultra-PE lamination = 93% heat protection + tear resistance + waterproof and windproof.
Cons
  • No performance
