I've been using this dish rack daily for a little over a year (we don't have a dishwasher) and have been completely satisfied with its performance - no signs of rust or anything . I use it on an adjustable dish rack over the sink (white) (5"H x 12"W x 17.5"D) (see photos) and it works perfectly. The plastic coating works great, no stains look like hard water or anything. I've never had chips or cracks, and I wasn't particularly careful with the placement of utensils. Yes, sometimes small-handled chopsticks or spoons slip through the bottom of the shelf. , but if you put a plastic stick net on the bottom of the fans, the problem is easily solved.
