Review on πŸŒ‹ Lava Lite 2124: Original 14.5-Inch Silver Base Lamp with Yellow Wax in Blue Liquid - Stylish and Mesmerizing Home DΓ©cor by Paul Lewis

Imperfect but pleasant. Give it time, follow the instructions.

Chinese copy of UK Mathmos lava lamp - not "original" as claimed. The water is a little "misty" with spots and imperfections on the inside of the glass, the wax bubbles a bit and looks thin, but for $11 with free shipping it's acceptable and offers the lava lamp novelty effect. Youtube is full of useless, uninformative crazy videos - except "make" which explained everything. The Mathmos lava lamp costs about $105 and comes from England, and the formula for chemically separating paraffin is a closely guarded secret. This lamp is fine for now until I buy a real Mathmos lava lamp. Update: After a few uses and patiently following the "foggy" water reduction instructions, it seems to be "breaking in" well. The wax heats up in less than 2 hours and is easy to spread. The bubbles in the wax have been significantly reduced and the water is a little clearer and bluer. I think you just have to be patient and methodical with it and give it time. For €11 it's not bad. Last Update: Added a star making it a 4 because it is now obvious to me that there is a break in/settlement period as sometimes happens with things with moving parts. It's going to be pretty nice.
