Review on πŸ”Š Stereo Bluetooth Power Amplifier Board by PEMENOL - 12V 24V 30W 40W Mini Amp Receiver Module with Infrared Remote Control for DIY Speakers/Car Bluetooth Devices by Elizabeth Lewis

Great sounding MP3 player

I used a pair of 65w bookshelf speakers, 8 ohm impedance and a 24vdc power supply. Peak power with this power supply and an 8 ohm load is a maximum of 36 watts per channel. My 24V 3A power supply is rated at 72W - it should all work fine. In practice, I wouldn't be in the same room and constantly playing the speakers at full volume. The sound quality at a reasonable volume is good. There is virtually no background noise and the music is not noticeably distorted. The volume control works, but I personally don't like the push button volume control. I would have preferred a twist grip. I let it run for about an hour and the heatsink was only slightly warm - nothing to worry about. Personally, I mainly use mp3 for listening to audio books. This board is more suitable for music than audiobooks, as cards and flash drives cannot sort by filename when playing. They play the files in the order they were written to the disc: first in, first out. It doesn't remember your location if you turn the device off and on again. As a DIYer, I'd like to see an AUX input so I can use it as a power amp. Another useful addition would be "pause”. Feature so you can pause playback without having to start over. Overall this is a good value and I would recommend it.

Pros
  • Receiver and amplifier
Cons
  • Some little things
