I have a very old (over 50 years old) wool army sleeping bag that I was given as a child. I remember at many very cold Boy Scout camps putting it in my sleeping bag as a last resort against the cold. It always worked, but always smelled musty and quite itchy. Well, I got it out of storage (where it's been for over 15 years) for a recent hike. Searched the internet and Woolite was a recommendation. This item came out of the wash (gentle cycle and air dried) soft and smelling great with no damage to the comforter. I was shocked - even used it as a pillow on the last trip. No smell, no itching and to my surprise the blanket wasn't damaged! I'm definitely a "convert" Woolite!
