Review on Ryobi 18V Soldering Station Tool Only: Unleashing Versatile and Powerful Soldering Capabilities by Simo Ramsey

Excellent soldering iron, I use it several times a week at work indoors and outdoors. I've been using this soldering iron for about a month. I like this portable soldering iron for its features. It features temperature control and the ability to use rechargeable batteries or 110VAC from a power strip. The iron feels comfortable, not big and bulky, heats up very quickly. Heats up in less than a minute depending on the temperature. I have used this iron several times outdoors in the wind. The iron heats up without any problems. My complaints are subjective. The base station is too big, I would like a smaller one. I would also like to see a longer cord between the iron and the base, at least 1.5ft longer to work farther from the base. Overall I would recommend this portable soldering station to other cordless soldering irons currently available due to its versatility.
