Review on πŸ” High-Quality Japan Hobby Tool Lens Sucker: Ideal for Camera Lens Repair by Devin Girard

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Good suction tool for accurate lens placement.

It's hard to do without this tool when dismantling old lenses. You can also use the suction cup on the bottom of a kid's toothbrush to pull out the lenses, but you really need something that can dislodge the suction cup for precise placement. So why 3 stars and not 4 or 5? Well, one star for the price. That's a lot for what you get, but good luck finding decent alternatives. Why another star? The suction cup was not unmarked from the packaging. The instructions say to clean with ether. who has the air And you're not going to buy ether just to clean that sucker. So I used isopropyl alcohol and bathed him in it a few times. He also left a mark on the back of the lens. So the lens had to be spot cleaned, which stinks after the lens is perfect, and it's hard to do as well as having to clean deep in a pipe. So maybe more dunks in alcohol would help, but right now he has that limitation. For the price paid, no one expects it to come with a suction cup that leaves a mark right out of the box.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
