I chose this model because it can connect to their remote monitoring app and because it's one of the few standalone systems that doesn't store information in the cloud. Pros: Easy to set up and install Motion sensor and night vision work well Very few false alarms Connection seems pretty stable (more than a ring camera in my shop) Cons: Camera image width is TERRIBLE. The ring in my office can be adjusted for a wide viewing angle. Looking at this thing is like looking through a cardboard tube of paper towels. If someone is within a few feet of them, you're lucky if you can see half of their face. The recording is jerky and pixelated. Even in high definition. You will find it difficult to use the recording as evidence. You can tell the record was made by one person and that's it. The Android app is a bunch of junk. Sometimes notifications come quickly and sometimes you don't get them at all. If you want to watch live, it takes between 30 seconds and a minute for the app to connect to the camera. I know it's not wifi because the recording goes to the DVR with no problems. So if you want to see who's at your door from your phone or use two-way communication, you're halfway home when this crappy app connects. Even when the phone is connected to WiFi and the camera status shows online with the app. If they put in a wide angle lens, upped the resolution, and fixed their junk app, that would be 5 stars. I would even pay double that. Clearly this can be done as the resolution and wide view in the ring is incredible if you don't mind being spied on and overheard by the nanny state.
