I had high hopes but in the end I settled on Tripp Trapp

I bought this chair with high hopes that it would be an improved version of Tripp Trapp. However, the belt buckle is incredibly difficult to manipulate! My mom who helps me take care of my baby couldn't learn it even after watching youtube videos several times. Other downsides are that the seat is a little wobbly and smaller than the Tripp Trapp. For example, I find it difficult to imagine a toddler using the Nomi as a desk chair. Advantages over Tripp Trapp: wheels, lighter weight, aesthetic appearance and smaller footprint. A few people have mentioned that the Nomi is easier to adjust the seat height, but to be honest I find the Tripp Trapp very straight forward. I also found Tripp Trapp to actually be easier to assemble (perhaps due to Stokke's more detailed instructions compared to Nomi). I ended up returning this chair and leaving my Tripp Trapp. I hope they improve the buckle because I think this Nomi chair has good potential especially if you start with the newborn set.
