Review on Effortless Stitching and Quilting with the JUKI TL-2000Qi Machine by Wendy Rodriguez

Strong, solid and sleek - the perfect climbing machine

I kept an eye on this car for at least 5 years before I bought it. I sewed on a $200 Brother starter machine and sewed some quality quilts on it, but it wore out over time. I have a 30 year old Husquevarna Viking that still works great but just can't handle FMQ the way I wanted it to. This JUKI is absolutely everything I hoped it would be. Noise is so minimal that the table doesn't vibrate even at high sewing speeds - by the way, no more hassles at this machine's maximum sewing speed. I was concerned about the lack of speed control, like the 2010 model, but I didn't want to overpay for just that. Foot control is good in that regard and I have nothing to worry about; I can move comfortably at any speed. Be sure to read the instructions and lubricate all points before you begin. The neck isn't as wide as you might expect, but in most cases you don't need a full length. The extra height and neck space of about 1.25 inches is enough for most quilts. You can purchase a frame or complete it if you wish, or simply quarter quilt a large blanket yourself. The thread trimming works great and so far I have had no problems starting again immediately even if the lower thread is not visible after trimming. GREAT. The toggle saves time too, although I don't use it all the time because I have three very curious toddlers. If, like me, you have a LO in the house and plan on leaving this machine outside, use a cover and unplug all wires when you leave it, just to be on the safe side, and don't hold it to something that can pull this. Descent. It's not a machine that gets moved a lot and can really do damage when it falls. I wish there were a few more coils in this particular pack, but it doesn't matter. In any case, we always need more coils. Basically it's not an entry-level car, but it's absolutely perfect for progressing in your game and will last you a long time if you take care of it. The legs are so strong and I love sewing - reminds me of my grandmother's Necchi from the 1950s that taught me to sew - and nothing could buy that. I have a feeling that this beautiful, elegant and powerful JUKI will be exactly the same.
