High quality leather. high performance hardware. Just what I need for my mighty American Bully who takes off standard collars. Unlike other martingales I've used, the chain noise when training helps with walking and now I need the slightest tug on the leash to correct behavior or get my dog's attention. Although I must say that she behaves normally on a leash and rarely needs correction. This may be different for other dogs. The 1.5″ wide collar fits perfectly and makes the cute terrified rescue dog look menacing – that was my goal considering I am a woman walking my dogs alone. I also like the buckle option which makes getting them on a breeze. The gray color I bought is unique and beautiful next to my dog's blue fawn. My dog's neck is 19" in circumference and the size L fits well but with plenty of room considering it has a zip on the first hole so I'd probably go for an M/L if it was available. She is 43# for reference. I love this collar so much I plan to order the 1" wide version for those days when my dog doesn't need to look so cool. Highly recommended.
