Review on 🔧 Enhanced Creality Aluminum Leveling Springs: Enhanced Performance and Durability by Carlos Macy

Revainrating 2 out of 5

NOT for Creality Ender 3 V2!

Kit includes 25mm springs which are too tall for the Ender 3 V2 - need 20mm springs otherwise it will stress the base of the bed and the Z-axis stop will not work and the extruder into which presses glass to build the bed. I fixed this by cutting 5mm off each spring, which requires a very strong pair of wire cutters and a lot of force (hello, spring alloys are HARD). It also breaks the flatness of one end of the nib, which definitely degrades the nib's stability and performance. There are absolutely no instructions included with the kit, and YouTube videos describing how to install the kit are mostly completely useless - and if followed, many will screw up your extruder/z-axis. I had to move the Z-axis switch up a few more mm. All in all, a lot of work on what is actually a simple update. The dishonesty of claiming that this V2 upgrade kit works is NOT welcome. I didn't install the Capricorn PTFE tubing because it's opaque, navy blue instead of the standard translucent PTFE? Dye doping reduces its performance and also makes it impossible to see the closed filament. However, the bright red metal dials are a definite improvement over the originals and give this unguided, dishonestly described kit more stars than I would otherwise give.

Pros
  • EASY TO USE - These nuts are high torque which makes fine adjustment of the heatbed easier.
Cons
  • will be added later
