Review on ACDelco 15 51293 Professional Heater Control by Derek Evans

I am very disappointed to have received a GM AC Delco Heater Control Valve P/N #15-51293 only to find out that it is a repackaged Murray P/N #6860-097 , which was made in China. . I spend EXTRA MONEY to use GENUINE GM PARTS on my 41 year old 1979 Chevrolet Corvette L-82 4 Speed because they ALWAYS fit the car properly and the car has 38,000 miles. I've dedicated my life to repairing and teaching cars, and I'm an ASE Chief Automotive Technician (which is why I knew right away that this heater control valve was NOT a genuine GM part). An incorrect or substandard part will ruin your repair efforts just as quickly as not knowing how to do the repair properly. GM/AC Delco has been doing this for years. Load MAXIMUM DOLLARS for CHEAP SPARE PARTS in AC Delco boxes. It's completely insane (ridiculous, ridiculous and should be criminal) to pay twice as much for a $19 retail part that's boxed than something that isn't.
