Review on Pyle Marine Amplifier - 200W RMS 4 OHM Full Range Stereo with Bluetooth, Powerful Prime Speaker - High Crossover HD Audio System PLMRMB2CB, Black by Ryan Sandell

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A discreet Bluetooth solution with no unnecessary hardware.

Excellent small size amplifier. I haven't had long experience, but it seems well constructed, with a watertight fuse holder, heavy ribbed body, and what appears to be a watertight silicone plug on the adjustment plate. I bought this for bluetooth only as a solution for music in a vintage car with no visible radio. The alternator whistled a little when it was first installed although it's entirely possible it was my car and not the unit and it was fixed with a muffler. Installation is fairly obvious once you have some experience, but the instructions included are MINIMAL with terse and poorly worded text, and some key information is missing, like wire colors on the simplest circuit. The good news is that they seem to have figured it out online that you need to know which wire is which. Technical support is almost nil as you would expect. The attached card states that Pyle stays up late (!) and is concerned about customer satisfaction and directs you to a non-existent customer support link. When you go to their website, the support link doesn't have FAQs, more detailed guides, or anything useful, just a link to email them. After 24 hours I have an Autobot answer and now I'm answering two more of my questions. You have to register to actually get 1 year warranty after posting the comments otherwise there is a short warranty at least as per the instructions. The power output seems to be very high. If you're looking for a way to get discrete music in an old car with no visible hardware, I'd say this is a good way to go. If quality sound is what you're thinking about in your new boat, maybe not so much.
