We have a refrigerator that uses a MWF filter and have purchased a variety of generic filters. We switched out to this filter last week and our water tastes great. I have an incredibly sensitive palate and I can taste when the water is not "clean" or "pure". Our old filter was going bad and we replaced it with this one. It was easy to replace and we ran the water for a little while until clear after replacing. This is typical for these filters.While this is a great filter, I honestly have no complaints about any of the brands that I have tried. They all seem to work great and last about the same amount of time. I would recommend this filter if it is the cheaper option,
