Review on ๐ŸŒก๏ธ Mishimoto MMRAD-G35-03 Performance Aluminum Radiator for Infiniti G35 2003-2007: Enhanced Cooling and Durability by Daniel Warren

Even the latest "revision " does not fit without significant refinement.

After reading other complaints about the rubber feet not fitting properly, I carefully ordered from Revain, then contacted Mishimoto with the serial number of the product supplied and was assured that this was their latest "rework" and right away without nothing would need to be configured prior to installation. After 12 hours of installation and tuning, this is without a doubt the worst installation of any part I have installed on my car. I'm not sure what QC or R&D Mishimoto put into the making of this heatsink, but they need to go back to the drawing board and start over. If only the bottom rubber mounting points needed modification, which others have complained about, this would be a relatively easy install. The cooler is finally installed and looking good, but it's no job for the casual mechanic unless you have a full day to work and tweak all the different mounting points to make it fit properly. According to their website, Mishimoto only sells one type of radiator for the Infiniti G35, which works with both manual and automatic transmissions. If you have a manual transmission, there are two pipes at the base of the radiator that you will not be using. I also extra polished some of the visible edges and the radiator cap to clean up the look. Things I had to change to get this heatsink to fit properly: The two AC capacitor mounts had to be adjusted to connect the heatsink. The passenger's upper bracket had to be relocated using one of the existing pre-drilled holes, while the driver's side lower bracket required a special hole to be drilled as the radiator below did not fit properly. Then the two terrible rubber feet won. will not work with this heatsink without further trimming and cutting centers as other commenters have complained. Because this heatsink is thicker than stock, the extra thickness was not compensated for when Mishimoto welded the bottom mounting points, so the mounting holes on the bottom frame must be further ground to accommodate the heatsink and rubber feet. The top rubber mounts also need to be trimmed to fit the top braces to fit the top frame and they still don't fully fit the center of the frame. at the bottom of the Mishimoto heatsink (not even close) so you have to almost cut the mounting tabs in half to fit the metal slots. For another reviewer who found his fan cover sits too high and had to drill additional mounting holes in the top to attach it, here's why. You installed the fan cover with the metal slots instead of the metal slots. Once the radiator is installed and installed correctly, the front of the radiator cap will be partially below the top frame, making it difficult to remove. Mishimoto coolant hoses are also used, and because of their thickness, the clamp holding the lower hose in place is right next to the rider's lower mounting slot on the radiator. Not sure why this hole is so close to this mounting slot. If I could have known the various required setups in advance and prepared myself for them, I could probably save 3-4 hours of installation time from the total work. Also, the Mishimoto website does not yet provide any installation guides or videos for the G35. They seem to have both printed installation documents and instructional videos for almost every other car they sell radiators for, however this is not the case with the G35. Mishimoto, if you're reading this, you also misspelled Infiniti on your install page.
