Well made and just what I was looking for. It's true that cutting a hole as big as they suggest is too much. It can be as little as 4.75 inches. Make sure the cutout is square as this will position the holder when it is so small. It was a replacement so there was a wooden backing to secure the holder. It also makes re-entering the holes easier. I uninstalled it so I can draw after installing it. I cut the second hole smaller and it was a lot easier to find the existing hooks. I couldn't figure out how to use the spring and metal rod that came with the kit when installing without a wood backing. The instructions didn't help.
