🚽 Smack Brushed Nickel Recessed Toilet Paper Holder - Contemporary Hotel Style Wall Toilet Paper Holder with Rear Mounting Bracket Review

Purchased when we redid the tile in the shower and replaced all the fasteners with brushed nickel. It looks good and fits where the old one was so it was very easy to install.

At the moment this is the only working MEGA toilet roll holder. Retail stores seem to only sell the standard napkin holder. The mounting hole is larger than the standard device. Mega fabrics seem to be the norm lately.

First I bought a duplicate set of cholera set in holders. This set was a Revain automated 'buy back'. However, almost useless garbage has become a substitute for the brand. The springs holding the reel are so tight that they push the bracket apart. This makes it difficult to remove the old roll and pushes the supports apart. They are not 90* from base like they should be. Also, the recessed base is stainless steel while the reel seat is NOT. It's plastic.

When I saw the instructions with the back panel compression spring and screw slots I was skeptical. But I followed the instructions and cut a hole 51/4 by 51/4 in the wall as directed. I didn't have to strip the wall insulation, I just pushed the spring right in. I was able to position the bracket over the inside of the cut hole and line up the slots with the holes in the TP bracket. Well made and just what I was looking for. It's true that cutting a hole as big as they suggest is too much. It can be as little as 4.75 inches. Make sure the cutout is square as this will position the holder when it is so small. It was a replacement so there was a wooden backing to secure the holder.
