Good solid swivel mount

I think the trend in budget TVs lately is to have "feet" on either side rather than a pedestal/stand in the middle. So I needed a way to deal with the incredibly sticky feet of my cheap 50-inch Scepter X505BV-FSR. It faces a window, so there's no wall mount. It never occurred to me that they make freestanding TV mounts, so when I spotted the Perlesmith ad I did a little research and bought this one. That's about $7 more than Perlesmith and it's spinning. Overall it was pretty easy, the instructions are clear, all the parts are clearly labeled and it comes with a range of different mounting screws to ensure it fits your TV. My TV used M6 12mm screws. The base is heavy and the tempered glass looks very nice. The rotation function works great. I had an issue that has more to do with my TV than the product: my bottom 2 vesa holes seem to be a few mm smaller than the top holes. So 2 12mm screws easily went in the top holes and I screwed in the bottom ones. I assume this phenomenon is an uncommon but well-documented problem. The kit includes spacers but they are not designed for this situation and will not fit. Luckily I had rubber bushings on hand and used them instead. They were originally intended for attaching a hard drive to a PC case. I put 2 grommets on each of the 2 bottom screws and they fit right in. There is some sort of cable management in the form of 2 velcro straps on the back of the base of the stand and they are pretty good for holding cables. Side? site.
