I've finally found the perfect case/headrest mount for my Kindle Fire and the best solution to keep kids (and adults) happy on the go! I bought an earlier version of this headrest mount for car use and while I liked the concept, the old case didn't fit my new Kindle Fire HD7 (purchased in 2013) as it was designed for an older model. This one fits my Kindle Fire perfectly, with power/speaker/volume cutouts on the back and headphone/charger cutouts on opposite edges. The smooth, rubberized case fits snugly around your Kindle without spoiling the look of your device. I originally wanted us to be able to take the Kindle with us in the car when traveling, but the case is so good that I could just leave it on all the time to protect the device. Below is an excerpt from my review of a previous version of this case; the usability and design notes also apply to this version, as only the body shape has changed. Here are some observations after using this mount on a recent trip: 1. I think this design looks much better and safer than models with articulated plastic arms and uncomfortable protrusions. The black headrest strap is very thin and goes well with our gray headrests. I don't like my car looking messy so that's a plus.2. Unlike the DVD headrest mounts we've had in the past, where cheap Velcro sometimes brushed, scratched, or tangled in the hair of the person in the front seat, these rubber straps are thoughtfully designed to stay out of the way of the person in the front seat the front seat. seat in general. The velcro stitching on the elastic matches the underside of the headrest in our car, so it doesn't get in the way or even show.3. When we stopped, we quickly retrieved the Kindle and tucked it in our seat pocket or took it with us so would-be thieves couldn't see, which was a lot easier than fiddling with DVD players and clumsy mounts. we planned for you.4. I also liked that it was easy to pull the Kindle out of the case when we needed to quietly remove it from the headrest, without the loud velcro noise we had to think about when the youngest one was sleeping and we were trying to be quiet. .5. The Velcro is large enough for anyone to easily position their Kindle at the desired angle. With our youngest child, we just tilted the Kindle slightly downwards, and with the older child, we tilted it more directly so that they're looking straight at them. So easy! A suggestion: we have an extra elastic (which you can buy separately) and with two children I liked having two straps so we could adjust one for each child seat (in our case one child rides rear-facing and one child goes forward, so she can't see the screen at the same time). The two elastic straps made it very easy for us to move the Kindle between children. Overall this is a fantastic product and I think everyone with a Kindle Fire should have one. Over the years we've had several headrest mounted DVD players and they always looked untidy (cables everywhere!), and DVD players always died after a year or so. I will never go back to that! The Kindle Fire (with Prime games, movies and TV shows preloaded) and that sleek, simple headrest mount made for a very comfortable ride with two young children! Full Disclosure: MyTradeWorld provided me with a free version of this product. Give it a try as I bought it and really liked the previous version of their headrest mount (but it was designed for the previous version of the Kindle Fire).
