I would rate this product a 3.5 if I could. It's not a 4 but I think it's closer to a 3. I wanted to take midi shorts on vacation knowing we're going on a hike so thought I'd give them a try. The shorts arrived in perfect condition in a clear ziplock plastic bag. They look very small as they are but are stretched to their true size. The fabric and design of the shorts are designed to flatter your bottom and your overall figure. Yes, they make your butt nice. However, my small belly also made itself felt when I wear them, even with a high waist. This is the main reason I can't rate these shorts more than 3 stars as unfortunately they accentuate any tummy you might have. I still wore them on my hike because I cared more about being comfortable than being cute and they felt really comfortable. The length of the shorts ensured I didn't rub myself during the hike. On a hot day they didn't feel any hotter than I already was and they were very breathable. The waistband is elastic and does not suffocate. They also did a good job of not getting sweat stains. They did a good job with the laundry. I'll probably only wear them around the house to do chores or when I need to run an errand quickly. The price is ok for what you get. The color was also a nice green and matched the picture.
