Review on 🌞 Renogy Commander 40 Amp 12V/24V MPPT Negative Ground Solar Charge Controller Regulator - Compatible with Sealed Lead-Acid, Flooded, Gel Batteries + MT-50 Tracer Meter by John Springer

This thing CAN work. I ordered an MT-50 counter, it doesn't work. I downloaded the manual and read it before ordering and the manual says you can control this with a PC and cable. I ordered a PC cable but no software came with the charge controller and NONE is offered on the Renogy website. The indicators on the front show that it is charging and the battery indicator shows that it is fully charged. So what is it, it can't be both. I have installed and use several charge controllers including an old Renogy 40A with MT-5 meter. The manual states that additional software is supplied on the CD with the device. No, CD, no software. There is no working counter. Second bad 40 amp charge controller from here that just doesn't fit and I HATE misleading product descriptions. Okay, the meter and cables are ordered separately, but at least they should work together and include all items. It is not possible to set the unit of measure for sealed, flooded or gel batteries. Looks nice, but what's the point?
