The strap on my Garmin 610 fell apart while jogging one day - a small piece on the side of the strap where the stylus goes through fell apart completely. This was exactly the replacement I needed - it came with pins, both sides of the strap and a tool to assemble it. There were no instructions in the kit, and I had some trouble installing it, so I'll explain below: The tool has a tiny clear plastic cap on the tip, which I removed and threw away, thinking it was just for protection . A notice. It wasn't until later that I realized this was done to seat the stylus and prevent the tool from slipping off the end of the stylus while you're pushing it down. Unless, of course, I could find a tiny clear plastic thing in the trash - too small and buried under other things. So I finally figured out that the stylus is just a straight stylus, not a spring-loaded one like on my old Garmin Forerunner. You install the new strap and then simply insert the pin straight into the watch from one end and exit the other end. Because I threw away the little piece of plastic, I couldn't push the pusher through, so I just pushed the pin against the tabletop and pushed it through the clock. Everything worked out in the end, but I would advise you not to throw away the clear plastic thing from the tool! All in all it's a perfect solution, delivered within a day and saved me from buying a new GPS watch. I will say that the area of the strap that the stylus goes through is very small and I'm not surprised it spilled on me - there just isn't much strap material there to aid in attachment. However, this is a design flaw by Garmin, not the fault of the replacement product. And if, like in the past, I live in it for several years, I will be happy!
