thermometer works as described. The only caveat, however, is that the instructions that came with the thermometer mention that it shouldn't be inserted into objects that are over 120 degrees Fahrenheit for more than 6 seconds. This deducts a few stars in my eyes as it wasn't mentioned in their Revain description. I even re-read the description before posting this review to make sure I didn't overlook it when I bought it. This fact makes me paranoid about using it as I feel like I'll break it if I don't set the time. 120 degrees Fahrenheit doesn't mean much. I can grow yeast freely but no more.
